Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Primary School | Full-Time | Long-Term & Permanent Opportunities

Aspire People are recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a primary school setting.

This role would suit an HLTA-qualified candidate, or someone with an equivalent level of experience and background who is ready to take on additional responsibility within a school.

The Role:

* Supporting teaching and learning across the primary phase
* Leading small-group interventions and learning activities
* Delivering lessons or covering classes when required
* Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
* Working alongside teachers to plan and adapt learning
* Supporting behaviour and positive classroom routines
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
* Providing guidance and support to other Teaching Assistants
* Taking responsibility for specific areas of provision where required
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and the wider school team

The Ideal Candidate:

* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience/background
* Strong experience working within a UK primary school
* Confident leading groups and supporting teaching and learning
* Good understanding of the primary curriculum
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Able to work independently and use initiative
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Passionate about supporting pupil progress
