Academics is recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants for temporary, flexible ongoing supply opportunities across primary schools in Worksop. Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £100 - £140 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP or a date that suits you
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Worksop, you will support teaching and learning across primary schools, taking responsibility for delivering lessons and leading classroom activities when required. You may work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, provide targeted interventions and support pupils with different learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering planned lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher
Supporting learning across a range of primary year groups
Leading small-group interventions and providing additional pupil support
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining an engaging learning environment
Working alongside teachers to monitor pupil progress and developmentCandidate Requirements
HLTA status or a relevant higher-level teaching assistant qualification and experience
Previous experience working within a primary school
Confidence leading lessons and managing a classroom
Strong communication, organisation and behaviour-management skills
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain oneWhat Academics Offer
