Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Sheffield

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? TeacherActive is working with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Sheffield and is looking for confident, motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our team from September.

The Role

Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Lead small group interventions to raise pupil attainment.
Provide 1:1 support where required, including for pupils with SEND.
Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare and assess learning activities.
Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

Holds a HLTA qualification or has substantial experience in a similar role.
Has experience working within a UK primary school.
Is confident leading whole-class learning.
Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Is adaptable, proactive and passionate about supporting children's education.
Has a good understanding of safeguarding and the Primary National Curriculum.
