Location: South Tyneside

Hours: 8:00am -4:30pm

Salary: £83.33- £130 per day

Higher level Teaching Assistant job entails …..

Teaching some classes unassisted, especially when Teachers are ill or on leave.
Planning and delivering learning and enrichment activities, either with Teachers or independently.
Working with small groups of students or individuals needing special attention
Developing specialist curricular in areas of interest.
Assessing students’ progress and discussing development with Teachers, parents and Carers.
Long term availability. This is a Monday- Friday job with hours of 8.30-4pm – Term Time Only.
Skills Required

Computer literacy, including confidence in incorporating computers into classroom lessons
Verbal and written communication, including active listening, for effective classroom instruction and understanding students’ needs
Interpersonal skills, including etiquette and social awareness, for working with students, Teachers.
Understanding of the expectations of the EYFS or relevant curricular (KS1, KS2,), marking criteria and ideal learning outcomes
While prior HLTA experience is desirable but not essential
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification required
