Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with EAL/ESOL needs, fostering their language acquisition and academic success.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum materials and delivery to meet diverse linguistic needs.
Conduct assessments to gauge students' language proficiency and track their progress over time.
Offer pastoral care and guidance to EAL/ESOL students, promoting their social integration and wellbeing within the school community.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an HLTA, preferably with a focus on EAL/ESOL support.
Strong understanding of language acquisition principles and strategies for English language learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with diverse student populations.
Ability to adapt teaching approaches to accommodate varying levels of language proficiency and learning styles.
