The Supply Register is working in partnership with the L.E.A.D Academy Trust to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a group of welcoming primary schools across the S12 area of Sheffield.
This role includes class cover when required, alongside wider classroom and pupil support responsibilities across KS1 and KS2 settings.
You’ll have the opportunity to work across:
• Birley Primary Academy
• Birley Spa Primary Academy
• Rainbow Forge Primary Academy
• Charnock Hall Primary Academy
This is a flexible position with immediate and September 2026 opportunities available, covering both supply and longer-term placements depending on availability.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead whole-class learning during teacher absence
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain learning continuity
• Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 in small groups and 1:1
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement
• Assist teaching staff with classroom preparation and delivery
• Contribute to a calm, structured learning environment
We’re looking for candidates who:
• Hold HLTA status or equivalent experience in a primary setting
• Are confident delivering whole-class cover
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Can adapt quickly across year groups and schools
• Communicate effectively with staff and pupils
• Are proactive, reliable, and classroom-ready
