Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – September Start

Location: Sheffield & Surrounding Areas
Pay: £110 – £140 per day
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time & Part-time Opportunities

TeacherActive is recruiting experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of welcoming schools from September. We have opportunities available for candidates looking for day-to-day flexibility, short-term cover or longer-term placements.

As an HLTA, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You may be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, providing PPA cover, leading small groups and interventions, and supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis.

What We're Looking For

HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience

Previous experience working within a school setting

Confidence leading a class and delivering pre-planned lessons

Strong classroom and behaviour management

Experience delivering interventions and small-group activities

Ability to support pupils with different learning needs

SEND experience is beneficial

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A positive, reliable and adaptable approach
