Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Directed Hours:

Mondays 8.30am - 5.30pm
Tuesdays to Fridays 8.30am - 4.00pm
Term time only, 5 days per week

Required Start Date: September 2024

We are looking for a positive, flexible, and compassionate person to join our friendly team at this independent special school for 13 pupils, which opened in September 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity for applicants who wish to develop their skills and experience in a supportive and innovative environment.

Role Purpose

As an HLTA/Trainee, you will:

Deliver or be trained to deliver parts of a tailored curriculum for individual or small groups of children, with support from the class teacher.
Teach in small classes or on a one-to-one basis, with children in key groups of 5 or 6.
Plan and facilitate lessons at the school and coordinate activities around the local area, including extracurricular activities with specialist support teams.
Transport and accompany children to these activities; thus, full-time ownership and use of a car, as well as a full driving license, is essential.
