About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support schools in the Colchester area. As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support and ensuring a positive learning environment for students. This flexible role allows you to work between 1-5 days per week, fitting around your schedule and commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development
- Cover classes and manage the classroom in the teacher's absence
- Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support
- Help with the preparation and organisation of learning materials
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Passion for education and helping students achieve their potential
- HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential
