Description:

Avenue recruitment are looking for a HV Engineer to join one of our well established clients in Livingston. The role will be a permanent full time position with an immediate start. Experience in a similar role would be needed. The HV Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, testing, and repair of high voltage electrical systems and equipment. The HV Engineer will ensure that compliance with industry standards and safety regulations are met.

Responsibilities:

Carry out HV maintenance on HV switch-gear and transformers.

Secondary injection testing of HV protection relays.

HV emergency call outs.

Partial discharge testing.

HV substation safety inspections and compliance.
Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in high voltage maintenance and testing.

Proven experience in an industrial environment.

Strong problem solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Strong communication both written and verbal.

Experienced in high voltage engineering principles.
