About the Role:

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school located in Oval, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic educational environment and support the academic and personal development of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.

- Support individual students and small groups in their learning.

- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.

- Undertake a range of administrative duties to support the class teacher.

- Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required.

- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).

- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.

- Relevant qualifications (e.g., HLTA status, Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification).

- Strong understanding of the primary school curriculum.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.

- Passion for education and a commitment to student development.

- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to work.

- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
