High Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) – South London
Flexible & Long-Term Roles
Are you an experienced High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for your next opportunity in South London?
The Supply Register is working in partnership with Step Trust as their Managed Service Provider (MSP), supporting schools across the trust with their staffing requirements and recruiting experienced HLTAs for a range of opportunities.

We’re looking for HLTAs who:
Hold a HLTA qualification or recognised equivalent
Have strong classroom experience and are confident supporting learning across a range of year groups
Can confidently lead lessons or whole-class activities when required
Are proactive, adaptable and committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential
Please note: these roles are specifically for qualified HLTA or previous HLTA roles.
The Role
As an HLTA, you may be required to:
Lead whole-class learning and deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Work alongside teachers to support planning, learning activities and targeted interventions
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of learning needs
Promote positive behaviour, independence, wellbeing and an inclusive learning environment
