Location: Purfleet, Essex
Salary: £20.00 per hour (Negotiable DOE)

Our client operating a mixed fleet of HGVs, trailers, vans, and specialist vehicles are seeking an experienced HGV / Van Technician to join their workshop team, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to maximise fleet availability.

Job Overview

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and light commercial vehicles
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing
Complete workshop documentation and service records accurately
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
Provide breakdown support when required (rare occasions)Requirements

Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Technician, Van Technician, or LCV Technician
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience working on HGVs, trailers, or light commercial vehicles
Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team
Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence would be advantageousSalary & Benefits

£20.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
Monday to Friday 10-hour shifts
Overtime paid at time and a half
Optional Saturday morning overtime
Workshop-based role with rare breakdown call-outs
