We are currently partnering with a reputable multi-franchise commercial vehicle dealer group based in Swindon to recruit an experienced HGV Trailer Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled professionals seeking a challenging role within a well-established family-run business with a strong presence across the Southwest. The suitable individual will be a dedicated HGV Trailer Technician, capable of delivering high standards of service and repair for a diverse fleet of trailers and car transporter bodies.

Opportunities to work within an award-winning family business employing over 100 staffDuties of the HGV Trailer Technician:

Carry out inspections, servicing, and maintenance on trailers, including car transporter bodies
Fault diagnosis and defect repairs on trailers and car transporters
Repair of ramps, decks, winches, and hydraulics
Conduct road tests on trailers to ensure roadworthiness
Prepare trailers for annual MOT testing and presentation
Maintain and repair brake systems and running gear
Complete all relevant documentation accurately and promptly
Liaise effectively with the workshop team to ensure high-quality service deliveryRequirements of the HGV Trailer Technician:

Qualified to City & Guilds IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Several years’ post-qualification experience preferred
For individuals qualified as Car/LCV Technicians, our client is willing to provide specialist HGV training
Demonstrated commitment, teamwork, and ability to produce quality work in a busy environment
Motivated to meet targets and continually develop skills
