Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for a Monday to Friday day shift role?
We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for a stable role offering competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and an excellent work-life balance.
Working within a busy workshop environment, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy commercial vehicles to a high standard, ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Truck Technician
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical faults
Complete inspections, preventative maintenance, and defect repairs
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing in line with DVSA standards
Maintain accurate job cards and workshop documentation
Work safely and efficiently within a professional workshop environment
Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Truck Technician
Experience working on heavy goods vehicles
Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification
HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
IRTEC accreditation
Main dealer or fleet maintenance experience
