Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles to ensure safety and operational efficiency
Utilise diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HGVs
Perform repairs and overhauls, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems
Carry out welding and fabrication repairs on damaged vehicle parts and bodies
Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend vehicle lifespan
Maintain accurate records of all work, parts used, and scheduled maintenance
Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle condition and repair progress
Collaborate with team members to ensure workshop operations run smoothly and efficiently
Keep updated on the latest industry advancements and best practices in HGV maintenanceRequirements of the HGV Technician:
5 to 10 years of experience in HGV or PSV maintenance and repair
Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment
Pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills as a HGV Technician
Tidy, professional approach with excellent attention to detail
