HGV Technician Opportunity – West Bromwich | Join a Growing Fleet Team
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the role of HGV Technician in West Bromwich, West Midlands. This is a permanent position with an established UK food distribution operation. You will be joining a well-regarded maintenance team where safety, efficiency, and progression are clearly supported.

Up to £53,000 basic salary
4 on / 4 off shift pattern (mix of days and nights), average 42 hours per week

Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and ancillary equipment in line with agreed schedules and operating procedures
Ensure all maintenance work meets and exceeds safety and operational standards
Take a safety-first approach, including proactive hazard reporting
Report to the shift coordinator and support the logistics team to ensure vehicles are ready to meet delivery schedules
Work efficiently to achieve KPI targets and maintain fleet performance
Maintain safe working practices at all timesRequirements for the HGV Technician Position:
HGV Technician qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Must have your own tools
HGV driving licence preferred but not essential
Ability to demonstrate safety-first working and proactive hazard reporting
