Pay: Up to £20.00 per hour DOE
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (days or nights available)
Hours: 06:00 to 18:00 or 18:00 to 06:00
Location: Pontefract
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and well structured commercial workshop in Pontefract. This is a great opportunity for an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Truck Technician looking for a strong hourly rate, consistent shift pattern and long term stability.
You will be working as part of a skilled team maintaining a fleet of HGVs and trailers, ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out servicing, inspections and repairs on HGVs and trailers
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
Completing accurate job cards and service records
Ensuring all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards
Supporting breakdowns and urgent repairs when required
Working closely with other technicians in a busy workshop environment
About You
We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician with:
Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician or similar
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
A safety first approach to all work
Full UK driving licence
