About the Role
Detail2 Recruitment are working exclusively with a well-established commercial vehicle workshop to find an experienced HGV Technician for their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician to work across a variety of commercial vehicles in a reputable, supportive workshop environment. Both workshop-based and mobile technicians will be considered.

HGV Technician - The details
£23.00 per hour + overtime at 1.5x
Shift Pattern: Days, 07:00/08:00 - 16:00/17:00 (Monday-Friday)
Flexible start/finish (7/8am start, 4/5pm finish)

Long-term, permanent position with a growing employer HGV Technician - Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience as an HGV Technician
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
IRTEC and/or City & Guilds accreditation
Proven MOT preparation experience
Full, valid UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous for mobile role)
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Own tools (workshop-based) HGV Technician - Responsibilities
Routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
MOT preparation and presenting vehicles for testing
Completing job cards and paperwork to a high standard, in line with compliance requirements
Working safely and in line with health & safety regulations
Liaising with workshop management/controllers on job progress
