HGV Technician
Location: Farnborough
Salary £20–£22 per hour | Up to £51,480 per annum
Weekly Hours: 40 or 45 hours per week
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic to join a busy workshop in Farnborough, maintaining a modern fleet of predominantly DAF vehicles.
This is a hands-on role offering flexible working hours, a strong hourly rate and the opportunity to work across a varied HGV fleet.
The role of the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
Complete PMI inspections and vehicle safety checks
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Carry out MOT preparation and inspections
Maintain and repair a fleet made up of approximately 80% DAF and 20% Mercedes
Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and kept roadworthy
What we're looking for from the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
Previous experience as an HGV Technician
Strong knowledge of HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs
Experience carrying out PMI inspections
Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous
A reliable, practical approach and the ability to work independentlyThe workshop is open 7am–6pm, giving you flexibility around your working hours, although your start time will be no later than 8am.
