Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Shift Pattern Rotating weekly: Week 1: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm / Week 2: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a varied fleet of commercial and municipal vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, compliant, and operational at all times.
Duties will include:
Routine servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and fleet vehicles
Working on refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) and municipal vehicles
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
Carrying out inspections, safety checks, and preventative maintenance
Preparing vehicles to DVSA standards
Completing maintenance records and job documentation accurately
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures
Requirements
Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification preferred
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance requirements
