We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an HGV Technician to join their reputable and well-established organisation in Stockport. This permanent opportunity offers a range of shifts, excellent benefits and long-term career stability.
As an HGV Technician, you will play an important role in maintaining a reliable and compliant commercial vehicle fleet. The position is well suited to an experienced HGV Technician seeking a stable role with a forward-thinking employer.

Supportive working environment focused on development and work-life balanceDuties of a HGV Technician:
Maintain and repair commercial vehicles to manufacturer and VOSA standards
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
Complete scheduled inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
Ensure vehicle availability aligns with delivery schedules
Promote and uphold health and safety standards within the workshop
Maintain a clean, organised and audit-ready working environment
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Vehicle Maintenance Unit
Work flexibly across a range of VMU tasks as requiredRequirements:
Proven experience in HGV fleet maintenance, ideally within a commercial environment
City & Guilds HGV qualifications or an equivalent LGV Vehicle Crafts qualification
Level 2 qualification as a minimum; Level 3, IRTEC or IMI accreditation is advantageous
Strong diagnostic, organisational and teamwork skills
Proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
