HGV Technician
Looking for your next move in the HGV world?
We’re working with an established commercial vehicle business that’s looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their busy workshop.
If you enjoy getting stuck into the job, solving problems and working as part of a solid team, this could be a great opportunity.
The Role:
* Responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles
* Carrying out road tests
* Performing emergency road repairs
* Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards
* Diagnoses of vehicles utilising computer based diagnostic equipment
* Carry out scheduled fleet maintenance tasks
* Preparation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
* Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication
About You:
* Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines.
* Ability to actively seek solutions to problems.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Excellent customer care skills.
* High level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repair.
* Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
* Previous experience would be required.
* Industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering (all modules completed) – Heavy Vehicle Qualification.
* Previous working experience as a HGV technician with a strong technical background, as well as a keen interest in van.
What is on offer:
* £42,500 - £50,000 Basic Salary DOE.

* Working with modern workshop systems and the latest diagnostic/repair techniques.
* Week 1: Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:00, early finish at 15:00 on Friday
* Week 2: Monday-Thursday 13:30-22:00, early finish at 21:00 on Friday.
