£50,000–£60,000 per annum
4 on 4 off (WORK HALF THE YEAR)

Looking for variety, a strong salary and four days off between shifts? We’re recruiting an HGV Technician to join an established airport engineering operation, maintaining the vehicles that keep Gatwick moving.
From trucks and buses to specialist airport support vehicles, this is an opportunity to broaden your experience while putting your existing mechanical skills to good use.
What’s on for the HGV Technician / PSV Technician / HGV Mechanic
£50,000–£60,000 per annum.
4 on 4 off shift pattern.
42-hour working week.
Fully equipped workshop at Gatwick Airport.
Varied fleet, including commercial vehicles, airside buses and specialist support vehicles.
Work supporting both airside and landside operations.
The role of HGV Technician / PSV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Carry out servicing, safety inspections and preventive maintenance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
Complete MOT preparation and rectify inspection defects.
Respond to breakdowns and investigate reported vehicle faults.
Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and workshop housekeeping. What the ideal HGV Technician / PSV Technician / HGV Mechanic would need
A recognised qualification in commercial vehicle maintenance, such as City & Guilds or NVQ.
Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, PSV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
A sound understanding of vehicle safety and DVSA standards.
The ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
An HGV or PCV licence would be an advantage.
