Shifts: 6:30am to 6:30pm

About the Role
Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician seeking your next opportunity in Avonmouth?
We are recruiting a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop responsible for maintaining a fleet of HGVs, LGVs, and trailers. This role offers a stable position with an excellent 4 on 4 off shift pattern, ongoing manufacturer training, and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs, LGVs, and trailers
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment
Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation
Work efficiently to maximise vehicle uptime
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Support colleagues to deliver high-quality workmanship
Skills and Experience
Essential
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience maintaining HGVs and commercial vehicles
Full UK driving licence
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Desirable
IRTEC accreditation
HGV Class 1 licence
Manufacturer or dealership experience
