HGV TECHNICIAN
Peterborough | Up to £21.00 per hour DOE
Description
We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established, family-run commercial vehicle business offering excellent job security, a supportive team and genuine career progression. Immediate start available.
Salary: Up to £21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Working Hours:
Monday–Friday: 08:00–18:30
Alternate Saturdays: 08:00–12:30
The HGV Technician Role
Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT.
Complete workshop documentation and follow Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' HGV or commercial vehicle experience.
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent time-served experience.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Reliable, professional and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Suitable employment references must be verified before interview.
Class 1 or Class 2 licence desirable, not essential.
