Hgv Technician

Description:

Skilled and flexible HGV Technician required for a varied role at our Reading location

Working as part of the Bicester Team, you will be responsible for completing routine maintenance inspections, servicing, general repairs right up to in-depth diagnosis, gearbox, engine replacements – wherever your skillset will take you. We will also commit to developing you further to increase your knowledge of our Brands.

On Target Realistic Earnings (OTE) – £50,000+

* Basic Salary up to £37,000 - £41,600 depending on your experience to date and your own abilities (Service Tech, Diagnostic Tech or Master Tech)

* Basic hours are 40 per week on early late rota changing each week

* Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and 1.00pm to 10pm (one hour unpaid lunch)

* Weekends and outside basic hours paid at Overtime Rate x 1.5

* Late shift payment paid on lates week - £25 per night (£3,000 per annum)

* Additional efficiency bonus up to £6,000 per annum available on reaching target (paid monthly)

* Overalls, Uniform and PPE all supplied and updated

We also have availability for HGV technicians to be on our breakdown rota

Roadside Assistance element:

* On Call Rota. Paid Standby Rates per £25 per night – that’s an additional £3,000 per annum.

* Hours worked outside your working week paid at 1 ½ - once 40 hours worked.

* Bank Holidays on call paid at Double Time.

* Use of Company Vehicle for week on call.

You will be able to increase your pay as you gain more experience and develop your skills, attend training and learn more about our brands

Working with MAN, Mercedes & Isuzu Trucks some of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy commercial vehicles. You’ll carry out roadside diagnosis and repairs for customers in distress as well as service, maintenance, and repairs on some of the most respected trucks in the industry and will enjoy continued development and training at our industry-leading training centres.

Preferred but not essential requirements

* Level 3 Qualification desired, however, we will consider time served applications over 5 years with proven experience

* LGV/HGV/PCV Licence an advantage

* IRTEC accreditation desirable but not essential as we have IRTEC courses available
