HGV Technician – Bishop’s Stortford – Up to £26ph
HGV Technician required in Bishop’s Stortford offering up to £26 per hour, a Monday to Friday schedule, and a company van.
Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a stable role with excellent earning potential? We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a well-established business maintaining a specialist fleet of bitumen tankers used in road surfacing operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HGV Technician seeking long-term job security, competitive pay, and the chance to work on premium commercial vehicles including MAN, Scania, and Volvo.
The RoleAs an HGV Technician, you will carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across a specialist HGV fleet, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant, and operational.
Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and repair specialist HGV tankers.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards.
Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00am – 6:00pm
45-hour working weekSalary & Benefits
Up to £26 per hour
Overtime paid at 1.5x
Company van provided (work use and can be kept at home)
Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend shifts
Work on a modern, well-maintained fleetAdditional Information
Vehicles operate day and night, so occasional night call-outs may be required.
There is no formal call-out rota.
Call-outs are infrequent and paid at the overtime rate.Requirements
Previous experience as an HGV Technician or working on commercial vehicles.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
