Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable multi-franchise commercial vehicle dealer group, for an HGV Technician to join their workshop in Swindon, Wiltshire. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals to advance their careers.

Perform all service and maintenance tasks to the highest standards within manufacturer timeframes
Conduct diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions efficiently and accurately
Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations
Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures
Complete documentation of diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and service activities
Maintain professionalism in all work-related activities to preserve customer satisfaction and retention
Adhere to safety standards and best practices at all times
Optional roadside call-out tasks with associated benefitsRequirements of a HGV Technician:

Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Several years’ post-qualification experience preferred
Ability to perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs
Strong team player with a commitment to quality workmanship
Motivated to meet targets and work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
Excellent attention to detail
An active HGV driving licence is advantageous but not essentialTo succeed in this HGV Technician role, you should possess a strong technical background, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a desire to develop your skills further within a well-established company.
