We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable company in Southampton seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join its busy workshop. This is an excellent HGV Technician opportunity to work within a supportive, well-established business committed to quality vehicle maintenance and professional development.
Benefits:
As an HGV Technician, you will receive a basic salary of up to £42,000, with higher rates available for highly skilled individuals.
Monday to Friday working hours, typically 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Fully equipped workshop with pits, welders, lifters and all necessary tools.
Breakdown call-out overtime available at time-and-a-half.

The successful HGV Technician will carry out safety inspections, MOT preparation, servicing and repairs.
This HGV Technician position involves working on rigid and articulated vehicles, curtain siders and skelly trailers.
Complete brake testing, welding, fabrication and diagnostic work across a range of HGV and trailer equipment.
Use modern workshop equipment to support effective maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, company policies and quality requirements.Requirements:
Applicants for the HGV Technician role should have proven experience and ideally hold a Level 3 qualification.
Experience working on Volvo, Scania and DAF vehicles is highly advantageous.
A full UK driving licence is essential; HGV Class 1 is preferred.
A qualified HGV Technician should be confident with welding, fabrication, brake testing and diagnostics.
Individuals must be reliable, proactive and comfortable working as part of a team.
Flexibility to work overtime and attend occasional breakdown call-outs is required.
