Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent - 40 Hour Weeks, Plus Overtime Available.
Salary: Competitive Salary – Depending on Experience.
Location: Bishop Auckland DL14.
About The Company:
From the humblest of beginnings, this growing company evolved by 1994 to a situation whereby a personally designed purpose-built garage was constructed to house a workshop staffed by highly trained HGV mechanics and Recovery Operator personnel with a diverse and wide-ranging wealth of experience.
They are now looking to recruit an experienced and skilled HGV Mechanic / Technician to join their team.
Key Duties:
* Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs for customer vehicles and our own vehicles to Mot Standard
* Diagnose faults and carry out inspections to identify issues.
* Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
* Carry out brake, suspension, steering and general mechanical repairs
* Identify faults and complete repairs efficiently
* Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with safety requirements
* Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
* Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence (Class 1 would be an advantage)
