HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Driver
Location: Quarrington, NG34
Pay: £14.85 per hour
Overtime: £18.56 per hour after 40 hours
Additional: Bin collection bonus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, early morning starts
Contract: Full-Time | Temp to Perm
About the Role
Daval Associates are recruiting HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Drivers on behalf of a well-established waste management company based at Quarrington Depot.
This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity offering consistent weekday work, paid breaks, overtime opportunities and the potential to secure a permanent position.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of commercial waste using a modern fleet of Class 2 vehicles. The role involves early morning starts, regular routes and working directly with commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out commercial waste collections in line with scheduled routes.
* Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle throughout daily collections.
* Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
* Ensure all collections are completed safely, efficiently and within scheduled times.
* Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with customers.
* Follow all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Health & Safety regulations.
* Comply with company procedures and relevant waste management legislation.
* Complete required paperwork and collection records accurately.
* Work effectively as part of a wider driving and waste collection team.
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
* Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
* Waste management experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Good understanding of Driver Hours, road safety and relevant regulations.
* Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual duties where required.
* Comfortable working outdoors and in all weather conditions.
The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience within the waste management sector is beneficial, but we are also interested in candidates with strong Class 2 driving experience, a good work ethic and the right attitude.
