HGV Class 2 Driver
Our client in Haddenham is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and solid business, delivering and collecting equipment from customers across the UK.
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of plant and equipment, ensuring loads are correctly loaded, secured and transported safely.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Delivery and collection of plant, machinery and equipment to and from customers.
* Loading and unloading vehicles safely and accurately.
* Ensuring all loads are correctly secured for transportation.
* Liaising with customers and providing a professional service at all times.
* Maintaining good communication with the depot and other members of the team.
* Driving throughout the UK, including London.
* Completing vehicle checks and maintaining the cleanliness and general condition of the vehicle.
* Complying with tachograph legislation and Drivers' Hours/Working Time Regulations.
* Following company health and safety and security procedures.
* Occasional nights out and weekend work when required.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
* Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
* Valid Digital Tachograph and Driver CPC.
* Previous HGV driving experience.
* Experience delivering plant or similar equipment would be advantageous.
* Good knowledge of UK roads and London.
* Understanding of safe loading and load security.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Reliable, committed and able to work independently.
* Good attention to detail.
* Category C+E licence would be advantageous.
What’s on offer:
* Permanent position.
* Salary of £17.00 - £17.50 per hour, depending on experience.
* Equivalent salary: £37,000 - £38,500 + OT
