Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Bedford
Salary: £17.00ph - any hours over 37 are paid at £25.50h
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am start, 37 hours per week
My client, a well respected local authority, is recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their team in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking secure, long term work with clear progression on pay and benefits.
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will play a key role in supporting local services by carrying out waste and recycling collections safely and efficiently. Drivers may also be required to assist with loading, so a flexible and team focused approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Driving a HGV Class 2 vehicle across local collection routes
*
Ensuring all waste and recycling collections are completed safely and on schedule
*
Assisting with loading duties when required
*
Following health and safety procedures at all times
Preferred Skills and Experience:
*
Previous dustcart driving experience is desirable, but not essential
*
A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
*
CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
*
Good knowledge of Bedford and surrounding routes is an advantage
