Description:

Staffline is currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers and Shunters for our prestigious client based in York.

We are recruiting for a variety of roles including Day and Night Shunters and Day and Night Class 1 Trunk Drivers.

Flexible working patterns are available, including:

Monday to Friday
4 On 4 Off
Ad Hoc shifts

Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.

PAYE rates are as below:
Days Monday to Friday - £15.27 per hour
Nights Monday to Friday - £16.38 per hour
Saturday All Hours - £19.00 per hour
Sunday & Bank Holidays All Hours - £23.00 per hour

The rate is based on shift start time. Shifts starting before 12:00 are paid at the day rate, and shifts starting after 12:00 are paid at the night rate.

Your Time at Work

The available roles consist of:

Class 1 Trunk Drivers
- Completing trunking deliveries between DHL and customer locations
- Ensuring safe and timely transportation of goods
- Conducting vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Completing all relevant transport paperwork

Shunters
- Moving trailers safely around site
- Positioning trailers on loading bays
- Supporting warehouse and transport operations
- Conducting vehicle and trailer safety checks

All drivers will be expected to follow company procedures and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

Our Perfect Worker
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- New passes welcome
- Good understanding of driver compliance and road safety regulations
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous shunting experience is beneficial for Shunter roles but not essential
