Hgv Class 1 Driver

Description:

Xpert Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver on behalf of a well-established business based near Newmarket. Duties will include:

· Carry out multi-drop deliveries across the UK

· Transport heavy goods safely and securely

· Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects

· Ensure all loads are correctly secured before departure

· Comply with all road traffic legislation, Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations

· Follow planned delivery schedules and communicate any delays

· Assist with the safe loading and unloading of materials where required

· Complete delivery paperwork accurately

· Deliver a high standard of customer service at all delivery locations

· Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures

· Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle

Skills/Experience

· Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

· Driver CPC Qualification

· Digital Tachograph Card

· Previous Class 1 driving experience

· Experience with multi-drop deliveries

· Experience transporting heavy or awkward loads would be advantageous

· Forklift experience would be beneficial but is not essential

· Good communication and customer service skills

· Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach

· Strong attention to detail

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday

Start time from 6:00am depending on delivery schedules

Benefits:

· Salary of £36,775 per annum

· Overtime paid at time and a half
