CLASS 1 HGV DRIVER - FILM SET WORK - CAMBERLEY
SRG Recruitment are seeking professional LGV 1 / C+E / HGV Class 1 Drivers who are looking for a new and exciting challenge working for a well-established film set company based in Camberley. This is a job out of the ordinary, offering the opportunity to work within the film and television industry and transport equipment used on some of the most popular productions around.
This is a varied Class 1 driving role where no two days are necessarily the same. You will be responsible for the safe and professional transportation of film production equipment, working closely with production crews and site teams. Due to the nature of the industry, excellent customer service, communication skills and a professional approach are essential.
Start times are generally PM or night shifts, however, the company operates 24/7, so drivers must be flexible and able to work a variety of shift patterns, including evenings, nights and occasional weekends.
The role would suit an experienced Class 1 HGV / LGV1 / C+E driver who is looking for regular driving work, enjoys a varied working environment and is confident working around customers, production crews and busy film set locations.
Requirements & Role

Full C+E / HGV Class 1 / LGV1 licence - minimum 6 months' experience

Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

Previous Class 1 / HGV driving experience required

Good understanding of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD)

No DD, DR, CD, DG or IN endorsement codes

Good knowledge of the road network and confident driving Class 1 vehicles

Good understanding of spoken and written English

Safe, responsible and professional approach to HGV driving

Transporting film production equipment, materials and associated goods to various film set locations

Loading, transporting and delivering equipment safely and securely

Working closely with film production crews and site teams

Excellent customer service skills, as you will be speaking directly with customers and production staff

Ability to follow delivery instructions and work to changing schedules

Flexible approach to working hours due to the 24/7 nature of the business

Willingness to carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues

Immediate starts available

Ad-hoc work or 4/5 shifts per week

Regular Class 1 / HGV driving opportunities

Varied PM, night and weekend work

Monday to Saturday - £23 per hour Umbrella

Sunday - £27 per hour Umbrella

PAYE rates available upon request

Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift

£30 per night out
