HGV Class 1 Driver

Intrepid Global is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) Drivers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional transport operation completing scheduled deliveries to retail stores, with ongoing work, regular shifts and weekly pay.

We're looking for reliable, safety-conscious drivers who take pride in delivering excellent service and representing both the client and Intrepid Global professionally.

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for completing store deliveries safely, efficiently and on time, ensuring all deliveries are carried out in accordance with company procedures and UK transport legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate HGV Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles.
Complete scheduled deliveries to retail stores across your allocated routes.
Load and unload deliveries where required using the appropriate equipment.
Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects immediately.
Complete delivery paperwork accurately and obtain proof of delivery.
Comply with all DVSA regulations, Drivers' Hours Rules and the Working Time Directive.
Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness, security and presentation.
Communicate effectively with the transport office, store teams and customers.
Handle goods carefully to minimise damage and ensure deliveries arrive in excellent condition.
Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices. 

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you'll need:

A valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence.
A valid Driver CPC qualification.
A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
A good understanding of Drivers' Hours Rules and the Working Time Directive.
Previous experience in store deliveries, retail distribution or multi-drop work is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
Flexibility to work early starts, weekends and bank holidays where required.
