Location: Gloucester
Pay: £15.00 per hour (Days) | £15.85 per hour (Nights)
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday or 4 on 4 off
Wright Staff Recruitment are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers on behalf of a valued client based in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with the potential of a permanent position.
Whether you're an experienced driver or a newly qualified Class 1 driver, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You'll be completing general haulage deliveries to a variety of locations including RDCs, retail stores and other commercial sites. This role offers regular work with a choice of shift patterns to suit your lifestyle.
Please note that occasional nights out may be required, and tramper drivers are also welcome to apply.
Important: A half-day driving assessment is required before starting. Please note this assessment is unpaid.
Duties Include
* Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with road traffic legislation and company procedures.
* Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
* Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
* Provide excellent customer service while representing the company.
* Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
* Valid Driver CPC qualification.
* Digital Tachograph Card.
* Good understanding of UK driving legislation and compliance requirements.
* Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
* Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.

* Days: £15.00 per hour
* Nights: £15.85 per hour
