Pay Rate: £18.00 – £22.00 per hour (Class 1) / £17.00 – £21.00 per hour (Class 2)

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for a well-established freight and distribution operation based in Dartford.

This is a fast-paced logistics environment involved in UK freight movements, pallet network distribution, and time-sensitive consignments, operating through a busy South East transport hub.

The Role

* Driving Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (C) vehicles depending on daily allocation.

* Trunking between depots, logistics hubs, and regional distribution centres.

* Delivering and collecting palletised freight and general cargo.

* Working with time-sensitive schedules and pre-planned routes.

* Completing all delivery paperwork and proof of delivery documentation accurately.

* Ensuring loads are safely secured and compliant with all transport regulations.

* Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.

* Liaising professionally with planners, warehouse staff and site teams.

* Adhering to all driver hours, transport legislation and safety standards.

Requirements

* Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) Licence.

* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

* Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience preferred.

* Previous experience in palletised distribution, RDC work or general haulage.

* Good understanding of driver hours and compliance procedures.

* Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.

* Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach to work.

* Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.

Shift Pattern

* Monday to Friday with occasional weekend availability.

* Day shifts with early starts depending on operational requirements.

* Typical shifts based around 8–10 hours per day.

* Ongoing, consistent work available.
