What you’ll be doing:

* Safely operating an HGV 2 vehicle to collect refuse across designated routes in the Reading area

* Working closely with your team to ensure daily targets and safety standards are met

* Loading and unloading waste efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations

* Conducting pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness

* Reporting any vehicle defects or safety concerns promptly to supervisors

* Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with the public and colleagues

* Following established waste management procedures and environmental guidelines

* Assisting with training and supporting less experienced team members where needed

Requirements:

* Valid HGV 2 licence with a clean driving record

* Willingness to start work at 6 am, Monday to Friday

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Commitment to health and safety and attention to detail

* Reliable, punctual, and motivated to provide excellent service

* Previous experience in refuse collection is beneficial but not essential due to full induction
