Herefordshire Council is currently recruiting for an interim Parking Services Manager. The post is for three months in the first instance, and is based mainly in Hereford.
Are you an experienced and/or qualified Parking professional, comfortable with leading a Parking services team to continue our excellent service?
This role will oversee all aspects of Parking Services including all compliance and enforcement functions from the issuing of Penalty Charge Notices, responses to appeals at all stages, management of the Abandoned Vehicles process and manage all aspects of the Councils on and off street parking functions.
We need the post holder to maintain the operational service whilst delivering measurable improvement to our recovery processes to bring this up to the level required for a fully functioning complete parking service.

Whilst we would like you to have strong awareness of using technology to enhance internal processes, nevertheless, the primary role is to return the whole of the service to an income maximising stable position.
You would be expected to undertake supervision, professional development and support of others, therefore, demonstrable people and leadership attributes will also be needed. You will be working with internal colleagues, external partners and other providers to co-ordinate and manage various projects in these service areas.
This is a senior manager role taking a leading position in what and how we deliver quality, effective and efficient parking services.
