We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support an 18-year-old gentleman in his own home on a 2:1 care basis.
This rewarding Healthcare Assistant role involves providing person-centred care within the client's family home, supporting daily routines and promoting comfort, safety, independence, and overall wellbeing in a familiar and supportive environment.
Your Role as a Healthcare Assistant
✔ Provide personal care with dignity, respect, and compassion
✔ Support with PEG feeding and medication administration
✔ Assist with manual handling, including the use of hoisting equipment
✔ Monitor and support the management of dystonia episodes
✔ Recognise and respond appropriately to seizures and changes in health needs
✔ Promote independence, choice, and overall wellbeing
✔ Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate care records
What We're Looking For
• A minimum of 3 months' experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Carer
• Experience administering medication
• Competence in manual handling and the safe use of hoisting equipment
• Experience supporting individuals with dystonia and/or seizure management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential
