Healthcare Account Executive

Our Douglas-based client are part of a global financial services group, with a growing demand for the products and services within the commercial and domestic insurance market. In order to manage growth, they require an experienced Healthcare Account Executive to join their team.

The role of the Account Executive is to proactively manage the retention and ongoing support of corporate clients, as well as the support for the acquisition of new corporate clients and provide support where necessary to individual clients. Key responsibilities are that of an Account Manager, with additional Senior responsibilities including:

* Take on responsibility for key insurer relationships as part of the core role, acting as senior point of contact for the island, the Healthcare representative for the local management team on performance and operations

* Liaise with Managing Director and/or other team members to ensure they are kept abreast of any potential problems

* Ensure knowledge of internal processes, legal and regulatory requirements are kept up to date

* Ensure all aspects of the relevant legislative and regulatory bodies are adhered to and followed at all times

* Manage renewal process for a portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring client needs are met and that policies are renewed, working to a high client retention target

* Generate and convert new business opportunities, working to set targets

* Assist where required with occasional individual client contact / support

* Develop working relationship with clients to promote customer satisfaction

* Provide professional customer service to clients at all times

* Ensure accuracy of advice given, working to clear compliance guidelines

* Work closely with key suppliers to ensure client needs are met: pricing, service levels, claims issues

* Manage own workload in order to effectively service the client relationship and ensure placements are completed within client deadlines

* Ensure client information and sales plans are kept up to date within the appropriate internal systems

* Deal with internal and external queries from colleagues, suppliers

* Implement and maintain the highest level of client administrat

* Occasional travel to other islands / UK for client, team, supplier meetings as required

The ideal candidate for the role of Healthcare Account Executive will have:

* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the Healthcare insurance segment

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with suppliers, clients, directors, managers and colleagues

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Honesty, trustworthy and reliability, with excellent organisation skills

* Ability to prioritise workload using own initiative and ability to work to tight deadlines

* Flexible and adaptable to juggle different tasks and to work to meet deadlines when required

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite packages and all round computer literacy

* Be adaptable to changing demands and conditions
