Health & Safety Representative
Public Sector Project
Halifax
£250 per day | Rate negotiable, dependent on experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Representative to join a National M&E Contractor on a public sector project in Halifax.
This is a site-based role with critical responsibility for the health & safety activity and quality assurance on site.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Take charge of Health & Safety activity on site
• Deliver / assist with on site inductions for new starters
• Maintain robust H&S systems including RAMS, toolbox talks, and site safety audits.
• Conduct environmental and quality audits.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and other trades (mechanical and civil).
• Ensure seamless integration of services across the project.
• Maintain accurate site records and required documentation.
• Provide daily progress reports highlighting risks and issues.
• Keep schedules and calendars up to date.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Qualifications
• NEBOSH Health & Safety for Construction Certificate
• Valid CSCS card
• First Aid At Work
• Fire Marshall Certified
• IOSH Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) desirable but not essential
Additional Requirements
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• IT competent (Microsoft Office essential).
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
