Based in West Calder, we serve a wide range of projects across Scotland and are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in health, safety, and environmental management.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the groundworks or house building sectors and excel in communication. This role is crucial in ensuring our operations comply with all safety protocols and standards, and it offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the enhancement and maintenance of our HSEQ Integrated Management System, aiming for ISO certification.
2. Perform comprehensive site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
3. Develop, manage, and update all HSE standards and requirements.
4. Oversee site operations with a safety-first approach.
5. Assist in tender and bid preparation, contributing to our continuous growth.
6. Direct and support two Health and Safety team members.
Qualifications:
1. Degree or HNC in a relevant discipline.
2. Proven track record as a Health and Safety Manager in the groundworks or house building sectors.
3. CSCS, NEBOSH, and Grad IOSH certifications.
4. ISO Internal Auditor certification.
5. Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel across Scotland for site visits.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
