Health & Safety Advisor - Wakefield

Working for a Regional Contractor that specialises in Street work frameworks from Highways, Utilities and Telecoms.

Location: - Wakefield

Salary: - £42,000 basic + Car + Healthcare + Package

Role Description:

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a regional contractor that focuses in Street Works based projects and frameworks. From smaller local authority-based work through to 5 year frameworks delivering various schemes typically on S278 works.

From 5G Fibre cable installation, Water mains, Re-Surfacing, and New roads for developments through to maintenance and repair contracts for the local authorities. The HSE or Health & Safety Advisor is the visible role for the Yorkshire region, operating 1hr radius from Wakefield.

Undertaking site inspections, and engaging with the workforce to ensure best practice and health and safety standards are achieved. Conducting Risk assessment checks, inspecting the site and being the safety champion for the sites in your region. Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:

Knowledge and practical implementation of Health and Safety legislation
Monitor and Ensure company compliance with internal management systems
Site based role that includes various site inspects both day and night based works.
Conduct Internal HSEQ support
Reporting findings to the HSEQ manager
Communicate across the company from site operatives to directors
Champion safety and engage with workforce representatives
Conduct incident investigations and report findings
Develop and submit site-specific safe systems of work documentation e.g. RAMS, CoSHH, lift plans to client for review and approval
need to be able to drive and have the flexibility to be a mobile Health and Safety inspector from a Construction / Infrastructure background. If you are from the Armed forces or had a career change it doesn't matter as the personality and ability to build relationships with your project teams is key for this role.Essential Skills / Qualifications

NEBOSH qualification as a minimum ideally with the Construction module.
Full driving licence
Ability to travel to sites 5 days a week with occasion night inspections.PLEASE NOTE
