Health Care Support Worker

As part of a team, you will be supporting people in their own homes; the people we work with have complex needs including Mental health, learning disability and autism.

As a support worker Through understanding the needs of the people you support, you’ll provide exceptional care that truly changes lives you’ll also have a lot of fun, too – from helping with daily tasks to amazing trips that make dreams come true. Occasionally you might need to support with personal care as and when needed.

* Help the people we support to engage in meaningful opportunities and activities – empowering them to enjoy a great life filled with amazing experiences.

* Get involved in the community, support during leisure and social activities, and celebrate special occasions.

* Communicate appropriately, considering individual communication needs, and helping people to communicate effectively with others, too.

* Supporting with medication.

* Food preparation and support with a health balanced diet

* Light domestic tasks (laundry, cleaning etc.)

* Companionship

* Shopping

Key qualities:

· UK experience in a healthcare and social care role.

· Caring and sensitive to the needs of others, especially vulnerable people or the sick or infirm

· Diligent and good at following instructions

· Excellent organizational skills

· Excellent Communication skills

· Teamwork skills

· Responsible and reliable

· Desirable qualities:

· GCSE C in English and Mathematics or equivalent

· Assist and support new HCAs.

Great positive attitude is mandatory

CONFIDENTIALITY & DATA PROTECTION

The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service businesses and always meet the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The post holder must always comply with all company Information and Data Protection policies.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Employees must be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and any subsequent relevant legislation and must always follow these in full including ensuring that they always act in line with all agreed procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: £11.70 per hour Days and £12.00 per hour nights and weekends.

Sleeping Night - £65 per shift
