Health and Social Care Lecturer (Temporary Cover)

Location: Worcestershire
Contract Type: Temporary (4-8 weeks)
Working Hours: Monday and Tuesday, 14.8 hours per week (10 hours teaching, 4.8 hours administrative)
Start Date: Immediate

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated lecturer in Health and Social Care to temporarily join our team for a period of at least 4 weeks, with a possible extension up to 8 weeks. This role is to cover for a member of staff on sick leave. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational content and support to Level 3 students.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions to two groups of Level 3 students, totalling 10 hours of teaching per week.
Perform related administrative duties, including monitoring student progress and preparing for classes, amounting to 4.8 hours weekly.
Utilise the existing resources and materials thoughtfully prepared by the absent lecturer to ensure continuity and stability in learning.
Address the varied behavioural dynamics of the groups, maintaining discipline and fostering a constructive learning environment.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification in Health and Social Care.
Proven experience in teaching and managing Level 3 courses in Health and Social Care.
Ability to adapt quickly to a new environment and effectively manage groups with different behavioural dynamics.
Excellent organizational and communicative skills.
