The Opportunity
Due to successful project expansion, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to work alongside our leading engineering consultancy, where you become part of a team culture who drive a safety-first approach.

The Role
As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be working as part of a team support key clients in the energy nuclear generation. This role is to work with HSE advisors and provide the highest HSE standards. Ensuring all activities are delivered in line with HSSE legislation.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
As a Health & Safety Manager for such a significant project, your role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety and well-being. You'll serve as a beacon, guiding teams towards compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) legislation. Your collaboration with Health and Safety Advisors and stakeholders ensures a comprehensive approach to risk mitigation and adherence to regulations.
Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the project's safety culture, instilling best practices, and driving continuous improvement. By providing guidance and oversight, you'll ensure that all activities align with the highest standards of health and safety.
Supporting your fellow Health & Safety team members underscores the importance of teamwork and collective responsibility in maintaining a safe working environment. Your role isn't just about enforcement but also about empowerment, education, and proactive risk management.
Your influence extends beyond mere compliance; it's about creating a mindset where safety is ingrained in every aspect of the project, from planning to execution. Your dedication to this cause will not only safeguard the well-being of everyone involved but also contribute to the project's overall success and reputation.You will have the following qualifications & experience
HNC in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent. 
Current qualification/knowledge of the CDM Regulations.
Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate.
IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
Operational knowledge of current HSE legislation associated with project work.
Must be experienced in managing contractors and experience of accident investigation and reporting.
Experience working on Highly regulated projects, Ideally Nuclear.
Hold or be eligible to obtain security clearance.It’s great if you also have the following
Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Good communication skills and the ability to develop network and working relationships with other groups involved in project delivery.
Suitable relevant experience working as a HSE Professional in a project context. This needs to include experience working within a highly regulated, operational environment.Get in touch now
